Reunion Resort and Spa is the only place in the United States where you’ll find three Signature Design courses by three of golf’s legends—Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson.
Located just outside Orlando in Kissimmee, Reunion Resort and Spa is a AAA-rated Four Diamond resort property, one of only six resorts to receive Golf Digest’s “2018 Best Golf Resorts in Florida” Designation. As fall rapidly approaches there’s no better time to plan a golf vacation to one of America’s premiere properties…not a golfer yet, maybe a visit here will convince you to take advantage of Reunion’s Golf Academy. And if you’re still not convinced to give golf a try, Reunion offers something for the entire family from a luxurious spa to waterparks and game rooms for the kids.
The property features 350 suites and villas spread out across 2,200 acres of lush landscaping. On my first trip to Reunion I stayed on the sixth floor of the 11-story Reunion Grande. This two-bedroom villa features a main living area and full kitchen centrally located with two master-suites on either side, one with a balcony that wrapped around off the main living area with wonderful vistas of the golf course, and nightly views of the fireworks display at Disney World, just six miles away. It’s proximity to the Club House (right next door) made it easy to discuss our latest successes and failures on the links over a cold one.
On my second trip to Reunion, I opted to stay in one of the villas at Seven Eagles (part of the Reunion property) a mere five minute walk or two minute shuttle ride from the Reunion Grande main tower, but world’s away; the setting so peaceful. I awoke every morning for six days enjoying a cup of coffee from my second floor balcony watching those with early-morning tee times. My suite featured the same luxury accommodations of the 11-story tower with the added benefit of a pool and snack bar right outside my room. These villas range in size from 700 to over 2,300 square feet available in one to three bedrooms.
Reunion offers opulent three to 13 bedroom vacation home rentals that can sleep up to 32. These homes offer a private pool, some come with home theater rooms, game rooms, golf resort views, BBQ grills and more. And of course you get to enjoy all the amenities as if you stayed in the main resort or one of the Villas.
Reunion features seven hot tubs, two kiddie pools, a water park, ten resort pools, two children’s playgrounds, a fitness center, two boutique spas, six hydro-grid tennis courts, bike rentals and so much more.
For an elegant dining experience try the award-winning Eleven. As the name suggests, it’s located atop the 11th floor of the Reunion Grande. It’s a modern steakhouse with premium cut meats and other signature entrées. Eleven has a superior wine list, great cocktails, and wonderful sunset views from an open-air patio. Oh, did we mention the pool. It’s a great place to enjoy unobstructed views of those nightly Disney fireworks. The restaurant and bar open at 5:30 pm nightly. Eleven is a hotspot for events so plan your dining experience in advance.
On the main floor of the Reunion Grande is Forte, an Italian Bistro with ingredients indigenous to the Tuscany region of Italy. The atmosphere and cuisine was outstanding and the service stellar. This restaurant also opens at 5:30 pm and closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sushi Lovers should grab a seat at the Grande Lobby Sushi Bar. Nothing better than great sushi, a few adult beverages and the camaraderie of friends and other resort guests.
